Broom Baillie Island to Booth Island⛵️😶🌫️
The One Ocean crew navigated through thick fog and ice to get to Booth Island- a 15 hour crossing. We each took turns at the helm in 1 hour rotations- with a crew of five. We had crew inside and outside assisting with navigation.
When leaving Snow Goose Pass, our charts got confused and showed we were on shore. It got very shallow but we were able to find the channel and navigate the rest of the way out.
We made it to Booth Island at about 12 AM- just as the sun was setting. 🌎🌊
