Baillie Island 📍⛵️
The One Ocean crew spent a day in Snow Goose Pass before heading SE to Booth Island. We explored the desolate land nearby before thick fog rolled in.
The island was quite literally melting into the water. We watched as mud slid off the cliffs and water dripped from the overhanging land- signs of erosion caused by permafrost thaw. This process is increasingly observed in Arctic regions due to climate change. 🌎🌊
