Day 7 ⛵️🌞🌈 HAWAII -> PNW
Today was flat calm with blue skies, which called for a full day of motoring and some noon site practice with the sextant. The glassy seas let us see farther than we have in months. As we looked out across the endless blue, we could see only clouds and... trash.
For an hour, we counted the debris drifting past the boat and ended up with roughly 200 pieces from buoys and water bottles to laundry baskets and wrappers. And that’s just what we could see from the boat. Overall, it was another magical day on the water and the crew greatly appreciated not being tossed around for a bit. 🌎🌊
