One Ocean has just departed Puerto Edén, traditional land of the Kawésqar “men of skin and bone”—Indigenous seafarers who have navigated these channels for generations.
We were relieved to drop anchor in Puerto Edén, arriving with our fuel tanks nearly empty. While there, we refueled, stocked up on groceries, got some steps in along the boardwalk that winds through town, and even had an unexpected reconnection with one of Mark’s old friends. The rumor of two degrees of separation in the sailing world continues to prove true.
We’re now en route to the Golfo de Penas, aiming to take advantage of a favorable weather window and following winds. ⛵️🌎🌊
