Redirection is something that can be leaned into, a divergence on a path you thought would be linear. Magic can come with the unknown; you just have to trust and look for it.
On this day, about a week back, One Ocean was turned around just a mile from exiting Canal Murray into the Beagle Channel, as we hoped to go along the west side of Isla Navarino back to Puerto Williams. Due to regulations (only Chilean vessels are permitted through), we had to pivot. 🩰
In lieu of this turn, we captured incredible whale footage/data, witnessed the most beautiful sunset, and were guided by bellyflopping dolphins back into the Beagle Channel along the east side of the island. We may have put on some extra miles and burned more fuel than we were hoping, but sometimes a 180 brings you exactly where you need to be. 🌎🌊🐬
