Today the One Ocean crew crossed out of the Arctic Circle — heading south through the Davis Strait. 🌎🌊
We entered the Arctic Circle on July 22, about seven weeks ago, marking the start of a long‑anticipated portion of our journey: the Arctic north.
About five months ago, before One Ocean departed from Anacortes, WA, the crew had the opportunity to present at the Vancouver Aquarium. We were placed in the “Canada’s Arctic” exhibit. Being surrounded by the wonders of the north only fueled the team’s excitement for the remote places we’d only ever imagined (except Mark, who didn’t need to imagine — instead, remember them this time around).
Now, en route to St. John’s, Newfoundland, we head south through the Davis Strait, carrying everything we’ve experienced with us.
