Towering, glaciated peaks welcomed us to Tay Bay. 🌎🌊
⛵️After reaching our northernmost point in Lancaster Sound, the OO team turned south into Navy Board Inlet, eventually arriving in Tay Bay.
This was a two-day passage from our last anchorage in Fort Ross. Towering mountains—rising about 6,000 feet and capped with glaciers— greeted us as we entered the bay. The team spent the day taking in the stunning landscape, a dramatic contrast to the flat tundra we had grown accustomed to throughout the Northwest Passage, before continuing on to Pond Inlet.
