🛳️ One major change since the 2009/2010 Around the Americas expedition is the number of ships that transit the Northwest Passage.
🛳️ We encountered two separate cruise ships in Cambridge Bay in less than 48 hours. While the 2025 total ships is not published yet, estimates suggest that approximately 20 cruise ships will transit the passage this year. Compare that to 2009, when there were only 2 recorded.
That is nearly a tenfold increase in just 15 years — just one of many changes from the previous Around the Americas expedition. 🌎🌊
