Since 1968, the SVC Marine Technology Center has been dedicated to training professionals in boat repair and marine systems. In keeping their commitment to hands-on, experiential learning, Skagit Valley College Marine Technology Center students regularly participate in real-world boat restoration projects. This fall, their major project will be the restoration of One Ocean! The restoration of this custom Bob Perry 48’ Ketch will include the installation of a new engine, generator, and electrical systems, along with significant upgrades to the rigging and modifications to support scientific equipment. Through this project, students will gain invaluable experience applying their skills to real-world challenges. Major shout out to the Skagit Valley Marine Technology Center for restoring our boat and making this expedition possible!! 🌎🌊
